The Beginning Of Everything

The Glory University is a place many people dream of joining, but only those who work extremely hard with full dedication actually make it there.

On one side, there are four friends who have reached here by facing life’s struggles head-on and working tirelessly.

On the other side, there are the Oberois--who are hardworking too, but have lived a life far removed from real hardships......

PART ~> 1

Tara ~> “Ketkiii! Ketuuu yaar, jaldi chal… dekh 6 baj chuke hai!” (she said in an irritated voice)

Ketki ~> “For God’s sake, Tara… it’s 6 a.m. in the morning! Apni ghodhi ko rok, itni subah college jaake rooms ki safai thodi karni hai…” (she said while brushing her teeth)

Pihu ~> “Vahi toh… itni jaldi ready hoke baithi hai yeh…” (she said while yawning)

Tara ~> 😩 “Yaar, main toh bas bahut excited hoon… aaj hum sabka first day hai college ka…”

Tara ~> “Waise, Yug uth toh gaya hoga… main usse call karti hoon.”

Tara calls Yugant

Yugant ~> “Hello?”

Tara ~> “Hello, chor! Tu ready hua?”

Yugant checks his phone

Yugant ~> “Tara… yeh tum ho na?”

Tara ~> “Haan main hi hoon! Tu yeh bata, tu ready hua?”

Narration ~> Yugant was shocked because Tara never wakes up this early.

Yugant ~> “Haan… main jogging kar raha hoon.”

Tara ~> 😑 “Kya? Iss time jogging? Apne PG wapas jaa aur jaldi ready ho ja college ke liye!” she cuts the call

Yugant ~> “Isse kya ho gaya…” he said in disbelief

At the Oberoi Villa's…

Naina is running on the treadmill, ear pods in, talking on a call.

Naina ~> “Yeah, today’s party is a must… I’ve completed 4 million followers!!!! And a little cheat meal too, so extra exercise today.” she smiles. “Of course… okay, bye.”

In the same gym…

Avir ~> “Yaar Naina, mujhe bhi skincare bata na. See my under-eyes… and today is our first day at Glory. I’m not going like this!”

A MAN who was boxing suddenly stops…

Vihaan ~> “What did you just say, Avir…?”

Naina and Avir turn—it’s Vihaan, their eldest cousin.

Avir ~> “Nothing, bhai…”

Naina ~> “Bhaiya, Ehaan kahan hai?”

Avir ~> “Arey, kal football practice kar raha tha… raat bhar, so he’s still sleeping.”

Narration ~> Vihaan leaves silently..

At the football ground…

The air was filled with noise—cheers, whistles, the pounding of feet against the turf.

Crowd ~> “Ehaan! Ehaan! Ehaaaaan!!!”

Narration ~> In the middle of the chaos, one name stood above all.

The camera cuts through the crowd… fast… blurred faces… rising tension…

Then—focus.

A boy in motion.

Sweat dripping, breath steady, eyes locked on the goal.

Narration ~> Ehaan Oberoi. The captain. The leader. The storm on the field.

The ball moves at his feet like it belongs to him.

Defenders rush in—one, two, three—He dodges Cuts through.

Breaks past them like they were never there.

Speaker ~> “This is getting intense… the defense has formed a tight wall… there’s no way through—”

A pause.A heartbeat.

Then—STRIKE.

The ball flies. Time slows. The net shakes.

Speaker ~> “GOAAAAAL!!!”

The crowd explodes.

Meanwhile, at the home gym…

Avir ~> “Are you mad, Naina? Bhaiya ke saamne Ehaan kahan hai yeh poochne ki kya zarurat thi? Don’t tell me you forgot—today was his match!”

Naina ~> “Relax, Avir… main bhooli nahi hoon. Maine bas aise hi poocha taaki unhe lage ki woh ghar pe so raha hai.”

Narration ~> Avir looks at her, finally understanding her intention.

It was breakfast time.

AT THE CHAI TAPRI....the air was filled with the aroma of fresh chai and buttered pav.

Tara sat casually on an iron chair, one leg crossed over the other, holding her chai in one hand and pav in the other.

Beside her, Pihu was munching on her breakfast while flipping through her notes.

Ketki stood nearby, one hand holding newspapers and the other a slice of bread-butter.

Yugant leaned against the stall, sipping his chai quietly.

Tara ~> Yaar Ketu, please… ache se baith ke kha na. Yeh kya khadi-khadi kha rahi hai?

Pihu ~> (jumping in) Haan yaar! Aur vo dekho… Yugant! Tum dono na, kabhi-kabhi mujhe bhai-behen lagte ho—same habits. Baitho yaar!

Ketki rolled her eyes but finally sat down. Yugant joined them too.

Pihu ~> Yug… sirf chai mat peeya kar. Biscuit bhi kha le.

A small smile passed between them as they settled.

Tara ~> Yug, teri job ka kya hua?

Yugant ~> (sighs softly) Part-time job bhi full hours maang rahi hai…

The silence that followed said everything. Tara, Pihu, and Ketki exchanged knowing glances—they understood.

Pihu ~> Kabhi lagta hai… hum sab ki life itni uneven kyun hai?

She looked at Tara.

Pihu ~> Tara ke bade papa aur mummy uski shaadi karwana chahte hain… unke liye vo bas ek zimmedaari hai.

Then at herself, with a faint, bittersweet smile....

Pihu ~> Aur meri family… maine unhe kabhi dekha hi nahi. Unke liye bas didi aur bhaiya hi sab kuch hain. Shayad unhe ab tak pata bhi nahi ki main Mumbai mein hoon…

She turned to Ketki.

Pihu ~> Ketki… family crisis…

And finally, Yugant.

Pihu ~> Aur tu… tu apni family ke liye kamaana chahta hai. Teri dadi ki surgery…

A heavy pause settled among them.

Pihu ~> Itna sab kuch hai hum sabki life mein… phir bhi hum yahan hain. Glory University… jiska sapna hum chaaron ne saath dekha tha.

Her voice softened.

Pihu ~> Mujhe laga tha… mera koi friend nahi banega. But jab mujhe boarding bheja gaya… I met you three.

Her eyes welled up.

Without a word, the four of them pulled into a tight hug—finding strength in each other, just like they always did......

Oberoi Mansion – Breakfast Table

The long dining table was set with elegance—silver cutlery, fresh juice, fruits, and perfectly plated breakfast.

The Oberoi family sat together, a picture of power, legacy, and unspoken expectations.

At the head sat Ambika Oberoi (Biji)—her presence alone commanding silence.

On one side sat Vikram Oberoi with his wife Diya Oberoi, and on the other, Akanksha Oberoi with her husband Nehan Oberoi.

Vihaan, already dressed in formals, looked calm and composed—every bit the professor he was.

Meanwhile, Ehaan, Avir, and Naina looked a mix of excitement and nervousness—it was their first day at Glory University.

Biji ~> (adjusting her glasses) Aaj ka din important hai. Excitement mein kuch tufaani mat karna

Naina ~> (softly, slightly nervous) Ji, Biji…

Avir ~> (trying to sound confident) Don’t worry, Biji. We’ll make you proud.

Ehaan ~> (half-smiling) First day hai… thoda nervous hona allowed hai, right?

Vihaan ~> (calm, authoritative) Nervousness tab tak theek hai jab tak vo tumhe weak na bana de.

Everyone looked at him.

Diya ~> (gently) Vihaan… they’re just starting.

Vihaan ~> (without changing tone) Aur main already waha hoon… as their professor. So better they understand from day one—Glory is not easy.

Avir and Ehaan exchanged glances.

Avir ~> Matlab… bhai, aap humein bhi nahi chhodoge?

Vihaan ~> (slight smirk) Bilkul nahi.

Nehan ~> (firmly) That’s how it should be. No favoritism.

Akanksha ~> (to Naina, adjusting her hair) Bas apna focus studies pe rakhna.

Naina ~> Ji, mom.

Biji ~> (placing her cup down) Yaad rakhna… Oberoi hone ka matlab sirf naam nahi, standard hota hai.

A brief silence followed.

Ehaan ~> (lightening the mood) Waise… Glory ka campus dekhne ka excitement bhi hai thoda.

Vihaan ~> (looking at him) Tum log students ho… enjoy kar sakte ho. Lekin main waha sirf ek cheez ke liye hoon...discipline.

Avir ~> (muttering to Naina) Gaye kaam se hum…

Naina suppressed a smile.

Diya ~> (softly to Vihaan) Thoda easy lena unpe.

Vihaan ~> (getting up, picking his blazer) Easy lena mujhe aata nahi.

He looked at the three of them.

Vihaan ~> Be on time. First impression lasts.

And with that, he walked out.

Avir sighed dramatically.

Avir ~> Professor bhi ghar ka hi nikla…

Ehaan ~> (grinning) Aur strict bhi.

Naina ~> (determined, yet nervous) Jo bhi ho… first day hai. Let’s do this.....

Ketki, Tara, Pihu aur Yugant…Glory University ke gate ke saamne khade… bas dekhte reh gaye....

Pihu ~> (slowly) “Yeh… sach mein hai na?”

Ketki ~>“Lag toh dream raha hai…”

Yugant ~> (observing surroundings) “Yahan ke log bhi alag hi level ke hain…”

Narration ~>Aur Tara…

Uski nazar seedha jaake rukti hai...Fountain par.

Water sunlight mein chamak raha tha…

jaise koi scene ho movie ka.

Tara ~>“Wow…”

Tara ~>“Guys tum log chalo… main aati hoon!”

Woh bina wait kiye fountain ki taraf daud jaati hai.

Woh apne bag se phone nikaalti hai…angles set karti hai… smile karti hai…

Click. Click.

Aur—THUD!!!!!!

Woh seedha kisi se takra ke gir jaati hai...Tara bina dekhe hi bolna start karti hai

Tara ~>“Kya dekhta nahi hai kya?! Dekh ke chal nahi sakte?! Aankhein hai ya gotiyan?!”

Phir—Woh upar dekhti hai.Aur… freeze!!!!!

Tara ~> “Wow kya maal hai…” she muttered under her breath, still staring.

Man ~> “Excuse me?”

Tara ~> Reality hit. Oh shit. She quickly stood up, dusting herself. “Sorry sorry! Meri galti thi, main picture le rahi thi toh—”

Man ~> He didn’t even look at her properly. Bas apne kapde saaf karte hue—

“Seriously… aaj kal ke bacche.”

Tara ~> “WHAT?!” Her eyes widened. “Aapko main bacchi lag rahi hoon?!”

She crossed her arms, attitude instantly back.

Mr. whatever… upar se neeche tak dekho mujhe. Height chhoti hai toh bacchi bol doge?!”

Man ~> Finally, he looked at her. Calm. Unbothered.

“See, child… don’t waste my time. Aur agli baar—dekh ke chala karo. Mere paas aankhein hain… aapke jaise gotiyan nahi.”

He turned and walked away.

Tara ~> “Excuse me?! HELLO?!”

But he was already gone.

She stood there—half angry, half shocked.

“…Attitude dekha iska?!”

Pihu ~> (coming running) “Tara! Kya hua? Tu theek hai?!”

Ketki ~> “Gir gayi thi kya?”

Yugant ~> (trying not to laugh) “Entry hi dhamakedaar hai tumhari.”

Tara ~> “Shut up, Yugant! Ek ajeeb sa… khadoos aadmi tha! Mujhe bacchi bol raha tha!”

Pihu ~> “Kaun?”

Tara ~> “Pata nahi… but—”

She stopped.

Her eyes slightly narrowed.

“…green-hazel eyes.”

Yugant on the other hand was casually roaming at the football practice ground, idhar udhar dekhte hue jaise sab observe kar raha ho.

Yugant ~> “Yeh yahan itni bheed kyun hai…?”

Narrator ~> kuch logon ne ek ladki ko surrounded kar rakha tha… sab uske around excited khade the.

Yugant ne bas ek nazar daali… aur ignore kar diya.

Woh side mein chala gaya aur ek football uthakar haath mein casually ghumane laga.

Jo ladki sabke beech mein thi…

Woh koi aur nahi balki—Naina Oberoi thi.

People ~> “PLEASE one selfie!!!” “Autograph plss Naina!” “Just one pic!!”

Naina muskura rahi thi, bilkul comfortable, jaise yeh sab uske liye normal ho.

Naina ~> “Guys please shant ho jao… chill karo thoda.”

“Ab toh main bhi yahin hoon… first day hai yaar, itna hype mat banao.”

Tabhi…

Uski nazar thodi door khade ek ladke par jaake ruk gayi.

Yugant.

Football haath mein liye… bilkul aaram se khada hua.

Na usne uski taraf dekha…

na koi reaction diya.

Naina ka smile ek second ke liye halkasa ruk gaya.

Naina ~> (thinking) “Interesting…” Pause.“Aaj tak… Naina Oberoi ko kisi ne ignore nahi kiya …”

Woh usse dobara dekhti hai… iss baar thoda aur dhyaan se.

Naina ~> (under her breath, faint smirk ke saath) “…aur yeh?”....

.....

Pihu campus mein walk kar rahi thi, dheere dheere chalte hue.

Tabhi uski nazar side mein lage hue phoolon par padti hai.

Pihu ~> “Yeh kitne pyaare…”Woh ruk ke unhe dekhne lagti hai.

Tabhi—kuch aake seedha uske sar pe lagta hai.

Pihu ~> “Ouchh!”

Boy ~> “I am so sorry! Tum theek ho?”

Pihu uski taraf dekhti hai, thodi si ghabra ke bas halka sa nod karti hai.

Pihu ~> (dheemi awaaz mein)

“Haan… main theek hoon…”

Boy ~>“Sorry actually main apne friend pe yeee pen fekk raha tha—”

Par Pihu uski baat poori sune bina hi wahan se chal deti hai.

Boy ~>“Ajeeb hai yeh bhi…”

Tabhi peeche se awaaz aati hai...

Voice ~> “Oye Avir!”

Haan… woh ladka Avir Oberoi tha.

Friend ~>“Kya hua? Yahan kyun ruk gaya? Class ka time ho raha hai…”

Avir ek baar phir Pihu ki taraf dekhta hai, jo ab door jaa chuki hoti hai.

Phir shoulders utha ke kehta hai—

Avir ~>“Kuch nahi… chalo.”.

●●●●

Sabhi log class mein aa chuke the. Unki pehli class Finance Economics ki thi.

Tara aur Pihu last row mein baithi thi. Yugant thoda aage kuch naye ladko ke saath baitha tha jo abhi abhi uske friends bane the.

Ketki third row mein kuch ladkiyon ke saath baithi thi, poora focus uska already book mein tha.

Tara apne bag mein haath daalti hai aur ek chhota sa dabba nikalti hai.

Tara ~>“Le Pihu, prasad kha…”Phir dheere se aage jhuk ke—

Tara ~>“Oye Yug… shuu… Yug yeh le… aur Ketki ko bhi de diyo… starting bhagwaan ka ashirwaad leke karenge.”

Pihu turant usse rokne ki koshish karti hai—

Pihu ~>“Yaar Tara please thoda dheere bol… dekh sab kaise dekh rahe hain…”

Aur sach mein…

Kuch log unki taraf dekh rahe hote hain. Tabhi achanak poori class ka attention door ki taraf chala jaata hai.

Gate pe—Teen log enter karte hain.

Naina.Avir.Ehaan.

Class mein halki si gasp....“Yeh Oberois hai…”

“Haan dekho…”

Tara Pihu ke paas jhuk ke bolti hai—

Tara ~>“Yeh teen jingoor kaun hai…?”

Pihu confuse—Pihu ~>“Pata nahi…”

Pihu phir dhyaan se dekhti hai—

Pihu ~>“Par woh jo side mein hai na… usse main mili abhi…” “Usne galti se mujhpe pen feka tha…”

Aage Yugant bhi unhe dekh raha hota hai—Yugant ~> (slowly) “Yeh toh wahi hai…”

Ketki ek second ke liye bhi upar nahi dekhti.

Uska poora focus book mein hi hota hai.

Udhar—Naina class scan karti hai… aur uski nazar seedha Yugant pe jaake rukti hai.

Naina ~> “Yeh toh wahi hai…”

Avir ki nazar Pihu par padti hai.

Avir ~> “Ohh… woh ajeeb ladki…”

Ehaan already jaake casually seat le chuka hota hai, jaise usse koi farak hi nahi padta.

Aur tabhi—Door dubara khulta hai.

Ek aadmi andar aata hai.

Calm. Sharp. Presence alag hi level ki.

Vihaan ~>“Good morning, class.”

Poora class ekdum chup.

Vihaan ~>“I’m your professor… Vihaan Oberoi.”

Tara ka dimaag ek second ke liye blank.....Woh bas usse dekhti reh jaati hai.

Same green-hazel eyes....Same banda.

Narrator ~>Wahi… jisse woh thodi der pehle takraayi thi.

Tara dheere se seat pe seedhi baithti hai…

Tara ~> (mind mein)

“Chud gaye guru…”

To be continued.....
